As you may already know, myself and good friend, author and poet Gary Milsom have collaborated on a new book - Into The Woods - that showcases my original treescape paintings, while urging people far and wide to preserve the UK’s ancient woodlands.
And, most excitingly, Cambridge Independent has just published a lovely feature on its website about our 96-page book, the profits of which will be going to a tree charity.
The book came out in April, published by Norfolk-based Mascot Media, with Gary creating beautiful works of poetry to complement the paintings that I’ve produced.
As I told Cambridge Independent, “the book is called Into the Woods and it's a celebration of my relationship with trees, as an artist and I've done it as a collaboration with Gary Milsom. Basically, I've given him the outline of my sentiment, or my relationship with a particular tree, and he's then turned it into a poem.
“I really like rhyming poetry because I think it has better flow - and so the book is filled with about 40 poems and about 40 images.”
